University at Buffalo is dedicated to helping faculty reach the best version of themselves. Faculty Affairs offers development workshops, leadership retreates, orientation, and faculty curriculum.

Faculty Affairs offers a workshop series to help department chairs more effectively lead and respond to challenges they confront in their departments and/or units.

A focused, two-track curriculum for recently-hired faculty to enter into a New Faculty Academy for Teaching and Scholarly Writing.

The New Faculty Mentoring Program is being offered this spring, beginning on 1/30/2023, at no cost to tenure track faculty. This program is designed to support the work of new tenure track faculty in their first two years (since fall 2021) across SUNY.
Sessions are held on Zoom every other Monday from 1-2 pm.

Orientation provides an overview including information about Buffao and UB’s history, students, student and employee support services, support for research, teaching & educational technology, & promotion and tenure processes.

An immersive two-day program that includes a wider community of faculty and administrative leadership.  This will help you build the skills you need to meet your daily responsibilities and enhance your leadership potential in a focused workshop with your peers.
