A program developed by UB emergency medicine physicians to expedite patient access to comprehensive and effective opioid use disorder treatment is going statewide.
New York State and UB announced yesterday the official launch of the Innovation Hub, designed to help connect ideas to action and move research from the lab to the marketplace.
UB researchers who study disease and are interested in developing pharmaceuticals are invited to apply for project funding and support through the Empire Discovery Institute (EDI), a drug discovery and development accelerator in upstate New York.
The new institute will streamline efforts to turn groundbreaking drug research into viable treatments and medicines, bringing new companies and new jobs.
