To preserve your international filing rights, remember to submit your New Technology Disclosure forms well in advance of any public sharing through web, journals and conferences.

Inventors and creators of new UB technologies should submit New Technology Disclosures (NTDs) through the online disclosure form.  UB’s Technology Transfer office just introduced an electronic signature function to make the process faster and easier. You no longer need to print a hard copy of the disclosure and have it signed by all the inventors.

When submitting a New Technology Disclosure, enter the inventor names and contact information, including email addresses, as you normally would do. When you click submit, the system will automatically route an email message to each inventor notifying them the “disclosure is ready to be digitally signed.”

Each inventor would simply click on the provided link, login with UBIT credentials, review the disclosure as needed, and then follow the instructions to accept the terms and digitally sign by typing his/her name into the box provided. Each inventor then receives an email confirmation after their digital signature is processed.

You can access the New Technology Disclosure Form under Quick Links on the Tech Transfer home page. If you have questions, please call Tech Transfer at 645-5500.

Be sure to submit New Technology Disclosures well before any planned public disclosure (e.g. journal, conference, web) to preserve international filing rights.
