Building Your Strategy

Successful social media accounts have strong, well thought out strategies.  

As you build yours may want to consider:

  • How social media will fit into your marketing strategy
  • Whether (and where) your audience expects to find your content on social media
  • Whether there is already a UB channel devoted to providing similar content
  • Whether you have both the content and time to maintain a channel
  • Getting approval from your unit’s Senior Communicator or Leadership. They will be accountable for anything that happens on your social media channels

There are lots of ways to promote your content on UB social media. After all, there are more than 200 official accounts at UB, most with strong, established followings.
