Successful social media accounts have strong, well thought out strategies.
As you build yours may want to consider:
- How social media will fit into your marketing strategy
- Whether (and where) your audience expects to find your content on social media
- Whether there is already a UB account devoted to providing similar content
- Partnering with an existing account, rather than creating a new one, may help you reach more people with less effort by leveraging their established follower base
- Whether you have both the content and time to maintain a channel
- Work closely with your unit’s Social Media Lead as you build your strategy. They will be accountable for anything that happens on your social media accounts
