Our experiential learning opportunities immerse students in the design and manufacturing processes. These opportunities expose them to the challenges associated with advanced design, manufacturing and construction across scales of time, size and complexity.

Students have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of design and manufacturing through:

  • A corporate enterprise model for engagement that supports interaction with industry, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary experiential learning projects
  • A student-centric, reconfigurable testing facility for assessing robot prototypes, agile product realization and teaching demonstrations
  • An advanced graduate certificate in advanced manufacturing and a manufacturing minor with an emphasis on hands-on experiences
