BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo Alumni Association Board of Directors has elected eight new members. The group represents the interests of more than 314,000 graduates around the world.

“We are fortunate to welcome these accomplished alumni to the UB Alumni Association Board. They bring a tremendous range of professional expertise, community involvement and connections to UB, and I know they will be valuable voices as we continue to strengthen relationships among our alumni and with the university,” said Thomas McArthur, EdM ’08, associate vice president for alumni engagement and annual giving. “As UB begins a new chapter with President Caroline Attardo Genco, their leadership will help us build on the strong foundation that has been established over the years.”

New members selected for the 2026-28 term are:

Nick Ambrose, MBA ’06, of Lancaster, is executive vice president and director of business unit controllers at M&T Bank Corporation, where he oversees accounting and reporting for the company’s commercial, retail and institutional services and wealth management businesses. He previously served as M&T’s director of financial reporting and worked in the assurance practice at Ernst & Young. Ambrose is president of the University at Buffalo School of Management Alumni Association and is passionate about helping students and alumni connect and support one another’s success.

Eric Brill, BA ’92, of Stamford, Conn., is an account director and principal at architecture and design firm Gensler, where his work spans financial services, sciences and building transformation and adaptive reuse. A licensed architect and LEED-accredited professional, Brill specializes in sustainable design and client relationships. He also leads Gensler’s involvement with the Big Projects Studio collaboration with the UB School of Architecture and Planning.

Karen Brim, BS ’82, of Buffalo, is a pharmacist with more than 40 years of experience across a range of roles in the profession, including with Independent Health. Most recently, she served as a clinical pharmacist, researching and evaluating new products and therapeutic issues and developing strategies to optimize their use. Brim is actively involved in the Buffalo community, with a particular focus on health equity and serving underserved populations.

Marie Campbell, DNP ’20, BSN ’16, of Akron, is a registered nurse and board-certified nurse practitioner and manager of the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Buffalo General Medical Center. An Air Force veteran, Campbell began her nursing career with Kaleida Health and later spent six years as a nurse practitioner with Rochester Regional Health. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the UB School of Nursing, where she teaches in the Adult-Gerontology Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

Patricia S. Ciccarelli, CEL ’18, JD ’93, of East Amherst, is a trial attorney and founding member of Schnitter Ciccarelli Mills PLLC, where she focuses on complex litigation involving construction workplace accidents, product liability and toxic torts. A longtime supporter of UB, Ciccarelli most recently served as president of the UB School of Law Alumni Association, where she worked to expand and diversify alumni engagement while building on longstanding traditions. She has also served on several community boards and has been recognized for her pro bono work.

Joseph DeLuca, DDS ’07, of Hamburg, has practiced general dentistry for more than 15 years and is a clinical associate professor at the UB School of Dental Medicine, where he serves as director of the Preclinical Simulation Center. His professional interests include educational research and leading students on dental mission trips. DeLuca serves on the board of the UB Dental Alumni Association and was board president in 2025-26.

Timothy Hedges, JD ’05, BA ’02, of Clarence Center, is a senior trial attorney at The Barnes Firm, where he represents individuals seriously injured because of the negligence of others. A five-year football scholarship athlete and four-year letter winner at UB, Hedges received the university’s Outstanding Student-Athlete Award for excellence in athletics, academics and sportsmanship. He graduated with honors from the UB School of Law and has spent more than 20 years advocating for Western New Yorkers. He is a longtime supporter of UB Athletics and recently served on the board of directors of the Nickel City Collective, supporting opportunities for UB student-athletes through Name, Image and Likeness initiatives.

Stephen Turner, BS ’08, of Buffalo, is a partner and Service Providers Industry leader at accounting and consulting firm The Bonadio Group, where he works with local and national companies on accounting, strategic planning and growth initiatives. He serves as treasurer for Artpark, a cultural and arts venue in Lewiston, N.Y., and is a member and former chair of the UB Accounting Advisory Council. Turner is committed to mentoring UB students and strengthening UB’s reach and impact through its student and alumni networks.
