Nicholas Fusco, PharmD, clinical professor and division head, Division of Education and Teaching Innovation, Department of Pharmacy Practice, has been appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board of the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE).
Founded in 1937, AJPE is the official scholarly publication of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). Its mission is to document and advance pharmaceutical education in the United States and internationally.
Fusco is a clinician–educator with expertise in pediatric acute care pharmacy and interprofessional education. He has previously served as an author of AJPE and has published 9 papers with the journal.
As a member of the AJPE Editorial Advisory Board, Fusco will serve a 3-year term beginning in July at the AACP Annual Meeting. In this role, he will contribute to advancing scholarship and supporting the journal through quarterly peer review and participation in virtual board meetings. He will also collaborate on scholarly manuscripts, including editorials, commentaries and reviews, and may serve on task forces or special initiatives that help shape publishing standards and priorities for the journal.
“This appointment is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the advancement of pharmacy education at a national level,” says Fusco. “I’m particularly interested in supporting high-quality educational research and helping to promote innovative teaching and learning practices.
