50 Years of Title IX

On June 23, 1972, Title IX of the Education Amendments was enacted by the United States Congress and signed into law, prohibiting sex discrimination in any educational program or activity receiving any type of federal financial aid. 2022 commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of this groundbreaking and transformative legislation to equalize education.
