Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any educational program or activity that receives federal financial assistance.  Everyone has a right to equal access under Title IX, regardless of sex, gender, or gender identity.

Reporting Discrimination

If you believe you have been discriminated against or harassed based upon sex, you have the option of reporting this to EDI.  If you would like an investigation of your report, EDI will conduct the investigation through the procedure outlined in UB's Discrimination and Harassment policy.    

Title IX Regulations and Title IX Policy

Effective August 14, 2020, new regulations to Title IX are in effect.  UB's Title IX Policy governs the procedures for investigating and hearing cases of sexual harassment and sexual violence that are subject to Title IX.
