Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant program is offered to high-need students who are working towards a first bachelor’s degree at a postsecondary educational institution.

Eligibility is based on your Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FAFSA and the number of credit hours you are enrolled in each semester.

Eligibility

  • Available to students enrolled in at least 1 credit hour
  • Students must complete the FAFSA each year
  • Award amount depends on student's SAI and enrollment status
  • Students may be eligible for up to 150% of their scheduled award if enrolled in a summer session
  • Students cannot receive Pell Grant funds from more than one school at the same time

Enrollment Status

Your enrollment level affects how much you may receive. If you are enrolled in less than 12 credit hours, your grant amount will be prorated.
