Success Spotlights

Startup and Innovation CoLab powered by Blackstone LaunchPad coaches and mentors founders, helping them pull ideas out of their heads and put them into the real world.

Ideas are not created in a vacuum

Entrepreneurs who possess the strong foundation gained by working with The CoLab powered by Blackstone LaunchPad are better equipped than the average founder. They know and understand their market on a deeper level; they know what makes their product or business stand out from the rest; and most importantly, they know they are serving a need or solving a problem.

Don’t just take our word for it. Hear from the people behind successful ventures who worked with The CoLab to get their businesses up and running.

November Spotlight

Meet Caleb UB Memory Venture: Lighthouse

Before my first day at UB, I saw entrepreneurship written all over their organization profile on UBlinked. I accidentally passed by the next day and walked in after remembering their logo from the day before. My favorite CoLab memory would be presenting our final Inclusive Launch Foundry Pitch.

October Spotlight

Meet Holly UB Memory Venture: Safe and Sound
Holly Quagliato and Marieross Navarro pose for a photo holding a gender equality poster.

Without my friend and cofounder, Marieross Navarro I would have never found The CoLab. She told me about the Inclusive Launch Foundry Program and explained all of the opportunities it could lead to. It was right before the deadline when I heard about it and if it was not for Hadar's kindness I would have missed my chance. My favorite CoLab memory would be participating in empowHER, because it was my first competition.

September Spotlight

Meet Jacob UB Memory Venture: Hive
Student innovators holding banners.

The Startup & Innovation CoLab has the passion, the people, and the drive that the city of Buffalo represents. My favorite CoLab memory would be winning the NOCO Innovation Spring this past semester.
