Congratulations on your acceptance to the University at Buffalo! You’re in—now it’s time to make it official. Follow the steps below to confirm your spot and begin your journey as a UB Bull.
To confirm your enrollment, pay the $150 tuition deposit through your Applicant Status Page.
Tuition deposits are accepted after the deadlines on a space-available basis.
Accepted students may apply for on-campus housing by submitting a housing application, including the $300 housing deposit. Please visit the Campus Living website for important next steps and deadline information.
If you were accepted under Conditional Bridge Admission (a CBA student), you may not pay your housing deposit online. For more information, please contact the Office of Admissions at 1-888-UB-ADMIT
Before we issue your I-20, your admissions counselor will do a final review of all your documents. If we are missing anything, we will contact you via email to let you know what we need.
After you’ve paid your tuition deposit and uploaded all the required documents, we will create your I-20 (F-1 Visa) or DS-2019 (J-1 Visa). Once issued, you can find it in your Applicant Status Page.
You will use your I-20 or DS-2019 to apply for your student visa.
To register for orientation, you must complete the Advisement and Orientation Form. The Office of Orientation, Transition and Parent Programs will notify you when the Advisement and Orientation Form becomes available. Visit the Orientation website to view your next steps.
Now is the time to get your visa, arrange transportation to the U.S. and determine what you will need while living in Buffalo. We can’t wait to welcome you to our university community!
Once you have made your enrollment/tuition and housing deposits, it’s time to begin your New International Student Check-in. Activate your UB student account and get started on check-in.
