  • $0.13 a page, printed single-sided on 8.5" x 11" white 20 lb. copy paper

Two-sided (duplex) printing

Public computing site printers print double-sided by default (with the exception of Print from email, which is single-sided by default). You may change this setting to "single-sided" from within your application’s print properties window when you print.

TreeZero paper

Public computing site printers use sustainable, environmentally friendly paper made from 100% sugarcane waste fiber, a rapidly renewable fiber. It is tree-free and carbon neutral.

Energy consumption

Public computing site printers use EnergyStar equipment. Our printers and other major components are EnergyStar certified and selected with sustainability in mind. Our printers gracefully enter and exit power save mode (the printer starts to wake up when someone begins to interact on the touchscreen) so that we can reduce our power consumption and still provide rapid service.

Common questions

If I send a black and white file to a color printer, will I be charged for a color print?

Yes! Please select your settings carefully.

If I have money in my UB Quota Purse at the end of the semester, can I get a refund?

No. Your UB Quota Purse is the equivalent of a number of black and white pages given to you at the start of each semester. It is not money.

Can colored, specialty, or non-letter-size paper be loaded in the printers? Is binding or stapling available?

Sorry, no. Try University Print Services for affordable printing options.
