Cory Nealon

Cory Nealon serves as director of media relations for University Communications, a position he was promoted to in 2016. He oversees a staff of communicators who help UB tell its story to local, national and international audiences.

He joined University Communications in 2012 as a news content manager after writing for newspapers in Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York. In 2024, he received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service, an honor bestowed for consistent superior professional achievement. 

Cory holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master's degree in business administration, both from UB.
