Bert Gambini covers the social sciences, humanities and the School of Social Work. He joined University Communications in 2012 after working more than two decades in Buffalo radio, including eighteen years at NPR member station WBFO.

Bert is a contributing writer and member of the Professional Football Researchers Association. He has published numerous articles for the organization and is among the co-authors of three books in the series Great Teams in Pro Football History (McFarland Publishing), including The 1958 Baltimore ColtsThe 1951 Los Angeles Rams, and a forthcoming book chronicling the championship season of the 1964 Buffalo Bills.

He also presents a music program heard several times a week on the internet station Pure Jazz Radio. An avid cook, Bert hosted Nickel City Chef, Western New York’s local culinary competition, for 10 years.
