Following upon the success of the CEW’s Oral Communication Lab, we now offer oral communication support services throughout the week in our Main Center, 17 Norton.
More details about these services:
Groups: Practice your conversational skills in the friendly setting of a small group.
Mondays 1:00 – 1:50pm
Tuesdays 5:00 – 5:50pm
Thursdays 10:00 – 10:50am
Individual: Benefit from English conversation development tailored to your specific needs and interests with an individual session.
Are you presenting your research for a conference, symposium, or competition in the poster presentation format? At the CEW, you can receive guidance for developing your poster, get feedback on your poster, and practice talking about your research using your poster as a visual aide.
Undergraduates, don’t forget to connect with The Office for Undergraduate Research for resources and support for getting involved with research!
Do you have an upcoming presentation for a course, conference, or other purpose? The CEW can be a low-stakes and friendly place to practice. We’ll be an attentive audience and give you constructive feedback to deliver a stellar presentation.
The Career Design Center is the place to go to get ready for your big interview. However, the CEW can also play a role. Through a process of brainstorming, verbal drafting, feedback, and revision, we can help you to tell a compelling story that will convey an appealing impression to a potential employer. Repeat visits will give you a bank of well- developed responses that you can adapt to a variety of questions.
All services can be scheduled via Navigate. However, we’d be happy to help you get connected if you email writing@buffalo.edu or drop into 17 Norton for assistance.
