Apply for Funding to Hire Student Employees

UB’s Here to Career+ student employment program, led by the Career Design Center, will fund on-campus student employment opportunities this spring semester with SUNY funding. The Here to Career+ team and the Student Employee Supervisor Advisory Committee will award departments up to $2,400 per student position for 15 weeks, at 10 hours per week with a rate of $16 per hour.

All awarded funds are designated for on-campus student employee positions posted on Bullseye powered by Handshake to cover student employee pay. To participate, departments must post each on-campus job as a “pending” student assistant position on Bullseye powered by Handshake before funding is granted. Awarded departments will agree to actively engage in the Here to Career+ program to enhance the overall student employment experience further and be responsible for managing appointments, timesheets, and human resource matters.

All UB departments are invited to apply to hire new student employees for Spring 2024 using the Student Employee Application form below.

If selected for an award, the Here to Career+ team in the Career Design Center will notify you by Thursday, February 22.
