Professional Certification Instructions for Departments
Once your department has completed its portion of the professional certification form, please send it to the Office of the Registrar. We will complete the remainder of the document, keep copies and send it to the appropriate State office for processing.
Students should be able to obtain this through the enrollment verification process via HUB or the National Student Clearinghouse.
Assistance with the Common App
If a student needs assistance with the Common App, instruct them to enter Kara Saunders into the name fields. Once entered, the Common App will inform them that the university has opted out of the online process.
The student will have to print out and complete the necessary forms.
The Registrar Report should not be sent to our office, and can be completed by the Office of Student Conduct. It requests information regarding disciplinary history that our office is unable to provide.
Reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) Consists of Four Different Reporting Types
Sent several weeks before the start of the fall (early August) term.
Allows students to view and print enrollment verification forms that they can send to third parties for loan deferment, scholarships, car discounts, and other purposes.
Information in the advanced reports is not directly available to lenders.
We are only able to send one advanced report. Therefore, students who are not enrolled in the term when the report is sent must wait to receive an enrollment verification until official reporting begins.
Sent the day after the start of classes for the fall term only
The information included in these reports is available to lenders, but is not considered “official.”
Only one early report is sent per fall term.
Regular enrollment reporting is an institutional requirement.
The Office of the Registrar sends an official “First of Term” report to NSC the day after the drop/add period for students ends. Subsequent reports for each term will be sent on or around the 15th of each month.
NSC enrollment reporting for the School of Dental Medicine, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and the Law School is completed by the professional schools.
Information in these NSC reports is automatically sent to NSLDS and is then available to federal lending agencies.
NSC Graduation Reports are run on the day of degree conferral, and every month thereafter on or about the 15th of the month.
Reports May Take Several Days to Process
Reports submitted to NSC may take several days to process, depending on the time of the year and how many other institutions are submitting reports.
Changes In Between NSC Reports
The Office of the Registrar can submit changes to a student’s enrollment or graduation status between reports on an as-needed basis. However, because the NSC manually reviews and corrects each requested change, submitted corrections may take several business days to appear.
