Create Conferral Lists with SIRI

About SIRI and SIRI Reports

SIRI (Strategic Information Reporting Initiative) is a reporting tool that degree auditors can use to create conferral lists. Auditors have the ability to run reports to view students up for conferral based on their major. Additional reports from SIRI provide student program plan information and whether or not students have failed Requirement Groups in their Academic Advising Reports.

  • Log on to SIRI using your UBITName and password. This will activate your SIRI account.
  • Fill out and submit the HUB Administrative Access form.
  • You will be contacted once your form has been reviewed and access has been granted.

Academic Honors

Please see the Undergraduate Catalog for minimum requirements.

Latin honors are based on the UB cumulative GPA. Latin Honors appear on the student’s official transcript as well as on the diploma.

Each department has the prerogative of awarding Program Distinction and Program Honors designations to students in their program(s). Departmental honors will display in the degree area of a student’s official transcript.

To award honors, departments must provide the Office of the Registrar’s Degree Audit team with a list of students who meet Program Distinction requirements at the time of conferral.

  • Use the SIRI major GPA report (PDF) to pull major GPAs for your students.
  • The list must be provided in an Excel spreadsheet with person numbers (no dashes) and related honors/distinctions.
