Find instructions for creating conferral lists with SIRI, submitting departmental honors, and other processes related to diplomas, degrees and commencement.
SIRI (Strategic Information Reporting Initiative) is a reporting tool that degree auditors can use to create conferral lists. Auditors have the ability to run reports to view students up for conferral based on their major. Additional reports from SIRI provide student program plan information and whether or not students have failed Requirement Groups in their Academic Advising Reports.

Please see the Undergraduate Catalog for minimum requirements.
Latin honors are based on the UB cumulative GPA. Latin Honors appear on the student’s official transcript as well as on the diploma.
Each department has the prerogative of awarding Program Distinction and Program Honors designations to students in their program(s). Departmental honors will display in the degree area of a student’s official transcript.
To award honors, departments must provide the Office of the Registrar’s Degree Audit team with a list of students who meet Program Distinction requirements at the time of conferral.
Students are shipped a paper diploma approximately 4-6 weeks after conferral. Certified electronic diplomas are available to download.
