NYSERNet Connect will be held on April 28, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the UB Center for Tomorrow.

IT staff from across the University at Buffalo and NYSERNet members from across Western New York are invited to attend NYSERNet Connect, a free one-day working conference focused on practical solutions for campus IT environments, on April 28, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the UB Center for Tomorrow.
The conference is a joint effort between UB Information Technology (UBIT), UB’s Information Security Office, and NYSERNet, bringing together WNY technology professionals from across education, research, government, and cultural organizations. NYSERNet is a nonprofit organization that provides high-speed fiber network connectivity, cybersecurity support, and advanced technology services to education, research, healthcare, and cultural institutions across New York.
Attendees will explore topics such as connectivity, information security, operations and automation within the broader campus IT ecosystem. Participants will also hear how peer institutions address similar challenges and leave with practical ideas and tactics that can be applied immediately at UB. Attendees will receive also receive a UBIT challenge coin, and other thank you gifts for their participation.
