Submit Applications for Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Classified Service

Recognize a colleague by nominating an employee for the Chancellor's Award to honor classified employees who continuously demonstrate outstanding achievement, commitment to excellence and exemplary customer service. All nominations must be submitted on the official nomination form and are due by Thursday, February 19, 2026.
Why You Should Nominate
Established in 2008, the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Classified Service gives employees in the Classified Services system-wide recognition of exceptional achievements and superior performance of duties. What makes this award even more exceptional is that peers can prepare a nomination packet for their colleagues.
Determine If an Employee Is Eligible
All nominees:
- Must have completed at least three (3) years of continuous, full time permanent service in the Classified Service position for which they are nominated.
Ineligible employees include:
- Prior recipients of a Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the Classified Service
- Posthumous nominations
How to Submit Nominations
All nominations must be submitted on the official nomination form and are due by Thursday, February 19, 2026 close of business (COB). Packets can be faxed to 716-645-3830, emailed to jdberner@buffalo.edu or campus mailed to:

Recipients will be announced in April and will be recognized at the Celebration for Academic Excellence in the fall.
