Overview

The Mutual Aid - University Police Policy codifies existing university practice that has been mandated by state and federal regulations since 1961. The University at Buffalo is committed to providing a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors. The practice of mutual aid ensures that UB’s University Police Department and other law enforcement agencies can support each other during large-scale or complex incidents, maintaining the safety of our communities.

Applicability

This policy applies to University Police and law enforcement personnel acting in response to a mutual aid request.
