Safe Learning

At the University at Buffalo, we strive to create a safe and inclusive research and learning environment. Students, trainees, faculty members and staff members have the right to learn, teach and work in a setting free of mistreatment, harassment and discrimination. If you have concerns related to treatment you have received from others, we have processes in place to provide you with resolutions.

Understand our Policies

Acquaint yourself with policies that promote safe learning environments for all:

Report an Incident

EthicsPoint is a comprehensive and confidential reporting tool to help the UB community address abuse and report any incidents related to harassment, discrimination and mistreatment.

Students and trainees who have experienced discrimination or harassment in violation of UB’s Discrimination and Harassment Policy have the right to consult with the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). EDI ensures UB’s compliance with policies covering discrimination, harassment, accommodations, equal opportunity and child protection.
