Nursing Loans

Nursing Student Loans are low-interest, federally subsidized loans available to eligible nursing students.

• Undergraduate nursing students in their third or fourth year
• Eligible graduate nursing students
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
• Must demonstrate financial need, based on your FAFSA

Funding is limited and reviewed as FAFSAs are received, so apply early to improve your chances.

• Subsidized: No interest accrues while you're enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Interest Rate: 5% annually, starting nine months after graduation or if you drop below 6 credit hours.
• Repayment: Begins after the grace period and must be completed within 10 years, excluding any approved deferments.

• Complete the FAFSA each year.
• Submit required paperwork each semester—the Office of Financial Aid will contact you with instructions.
