Electronic Health Record (EHR) Datasets

Services.

One of the key components of the IHI is the UB Clinically Integrated Healthcare Data Repository (CIDR). This repository holds electronic health record and claims data for the vast majority of the Western New York population. By leveraging the CIDR, researchers gain access to comprehensive and diverse datasets that enable a wide range of research endeavors.

The CIDR currently holds fully identified EHR data from Kaleida and UBMD for more than 1 million individuals. This data is readily available through TriNetX, a state-of-the-art end-user query tool. It allows users to search de-identified clinical patient data for feasibility, recruitment, and project enrollment. Data sets can be extracted for research with IRB approval. Extracted data is held securely at the IHI and made available to researchers through secure remote access.

The IHI is also part of the TriNetX Research Network, allowing researchers to access global data sets.

The CIDR also holds partially identified claims data for more than 1 million individuals.

The IHI provides services and resources to access to the NYS SPARCS data (https://www.health.ny.gov/statistics/sparcs/).

If you are a researcher or a healthcare professional interested in leveraging our healthcare data or utilizing our services, please reach out to us. We are excited to collaborate with you and contribute to the advancement of healthcare research.
