Americans with Disabilities Act Title II Regulations

On April 24, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice released updated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II regulations, establishing clear requirements for making web content and mobile applications accessible to people with disabilities. These rules apply to state and local governments, including public universities, and set a minimum technical accessibility standard of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Learning Systems staff from the Office of Curriculum, Assessment and Teaching Transformation play a vital role in the university’s academic mission through the system administration and direct end-user support for UB Learns.

AI Guidance for Faculty

UB has no universal policy on student use of artificial intelligence, leaving it up to instructors to set clear expectations in their courses. Guidance is available for instructors on how to communicate rules to students, decide when AI is appropriate, and address potential misuse in line with academic integrity procedures.
