The Educational Effectiveness & Learning Analytics team offers ongoing assessment support. Should you require assistance from an expert, our staff is here for you to schedule a consult or workshop to tackle various challenges. 

Value Statement

UB seeks to ensure the diversity, equity and inclusivity of its policies, programs, activities and traditions. Assessment is a systematic, coordinated, collaborative processes of analyzing student learning outcomes to ensure that facilitators are helping learners of all ages, aptitudes, and backgrounds achieve their goals. Incorporating the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are a natural extension to the aims and actions of assessment work and the work of the Office of Curriculum, Assessment and Teaching Transformation.

We will disaggregate data to illuminate findings that carry implications for minoritized groups.

Offerings

For technical assistance with the setup of UB Learns or other UB tools such Panopto, Zoom, Webex or Jabber please visit UBIT for service guides, tutorials or direct assistance.

One-on-one Consultations can be requested for a variety of topics, including developing program-level outcomes, syllabus development and the UB Course Evaluation system.

Group Workshops can be requested for units or departments on the following topics:

  • Assessment Frameworks
  • Feasible Data Collection
  • Using Data for Continuous Improvement and Resource Planning
  • Assessment Planning and Reporting (AAPAR)
  • Other Topics by Request

Workshops can be set-up in-person, hosted by CATT or in departmental space, in varying timeframes based on availability of the audience.
