Home Away Giveaways is UB Campus Living’s resident rewards program, created to show appreciation for students who call campus home.
Through fun pop-up giveaways and exclusive UB prizes, the program celebrates our on-campus residents and helps build pride and connection within our UB residential communities. It’s our way of saying thank you for being part of the vibrant, supportive community that makes campus feel like home. The resident reward program is kicked off every semester with a Welcome Home gift, followed by at least two pop-ups each semester. Check out the evolution of this program below.
Don't miss the last giveaway of the semester! Buddle up before you head out for winter break with a scarf to remind you of your home away from home.

Scarves, Spring 2024
As the first Home Away Giveaway, Campus Living created a gift that was useful, practical, and stylish—welcoming residents back to Buffalo after winter break. The spring semester kicked off on a warm and cheerful note as students got their first look at this exciting new program.
Welcome Home Pennant
After launching the Rewards Program, Campus Living created the True Blue Home pennant. Each pennant was hand-packaged by our staff—along with other welcome goodies—and delivered to every resident’s room at move-in. More than 7,500 students received a special gift to help make their new space feel like home.
Little Victors, Fall 2024
The accessories didn’t stop there! Our very own mascot was turned into a mini plushie—perfect for clipping onto your bag, keys, or anywhere you want to show some spirit. Little Victor Bobbi-Doobiez has quickly become a fun symbol to spot around campus.
Coffee Cards, Fall 2024
To help residents charge up for finals, residents were gifted with coffee cards! Whether it’s a caffeine boost, a study snack, or just a well-earned break, this giveaway was the perfect pick-me-up for busy students and a sweet way to spread a little campus cheer.
Winter Hats
As students returned from winter break, Home Away Giveaway helped them stay warm and stylish with winter hats. Perfect for snowy walks across campus or showing off UB pride, these hats were a cozy way to kick off the spring semester in style.
Totes, Spring 2025
The rewards kept coming with the Campus Living tote bags—now a favorite amongst residents. Perfect for carrying books, groceries, or anything in between, these totes quickly became a campus must-have and a fun way for students to show their UB pride.
Geese Plushies, Spring 2025
As the unofficial “second mascot” of campus. Known for blocking roads, taking over sidewalks, and causing the occasional showdown on your way to class, they’ve somehow become a beloved part of UB life. Now, residents can celebrate that cheeky spirit with their very own geese plushies—complete with a honk! The perfect mix of mischief and UB pride.
Welcome Home Community Totes
To welcome residents home, Campus Living gifted each student a tote featuring all nine Campus Living icons—created by the students and staff who know the community best. It’s a fun, meaningful way to celebrate connection, creativity, and UB spirit, giving every student a little piece of home to carry with them.
True Blue Pins, Fall 2025
Campus Living created the True Blue Home pin. Like the pennant it complements, the pin is a tiny but mighty symbol of UB pride—perfect for adding a pop of school spirit to your backpack, jacket, or hat! It’s a small keepsake with a big reminder: no matter where you go, UB is home.
Each Campus Living Community at UB is unique—shaped by its people, spaces, and spirit. To celebrate that individuality while highlighting what connects us all, these icons were created as symbols of identity and unity.
The ideas for each icon came directly from the people who live and serve in these communities—students, staff, and leaders who know them best. Their insights inspired designs that capture what makes each hall and village special.
Together, these icons form a shared visual language for Campus Living, honoring the distinct character of every community while uniting them under one purpose: helping every student feel at home.
