As a result of the Operational Excellence Initiative launched by the university in 2017, University Communications (UC) is leading the process of procuring university-wide contracts for media buying, copywriting, design and other creative services. Operational excellence initiatives stress increasing effectiveness and efficiency by challenging the conventional way we do business and using data to drive decisions. To inform our decision-making process, UC conducted thorough interviews and audits of communication practices across the campus community, which included input from senior communicators as well as university leadership.
