Make Your Mark as a UB Volunteer

Help recruit the next generation of UB students as an admissions alumni volunteer.  From college fairs, alumni interviews and Open House to accepted student receptions and congratulatory phone calls, there’s ways you can make an impact no matter where you live!

Are you ready to share your career experience with UB students and alumni? Are you a new grad who recently made the transition from UB to career? The UB community needs alumni to help students transition from their education into the professional world. And your fellow alumni are looking to connect with those who can provide insight on their current career. 

Whether in person or virtually, share your knowledge about your career, life experiences or a special topic of interest with fellow students and/or alumni.

Be a part of our Webinar Wednesdays! Provide expert knowledge on a relevant and timely topic that can help alumni in any stage of their career or life.

Donate your time and expertise to the Blackstone LaunchPad at UB by serving as a mentor or a speaker.  It’s a great way to engage and empower current students and the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Perform community service in your region with a group of fellow alumni or better yet, be a designated peer site leader, representing your alumni group at the service agency.

Sign up as an employer through Handshake and post and recruit for job openings and internship opportunities in your company or organization.

The UB Future Alumni Network (UB FAN) is a student-alumni volunteer group with the Office of Alumni Engagement. UB FAN Leaders and Alumni Mentors help foster connections between current students and the 307,000+ strong UB Alumni Network. We bring together students and alumni at events and provide valuable volunteer opportunities, social activities, and insider perks. Our goal is to create more opportunities for mentorship, storytelling, and professional growth in a no pressure and relaxed setting.
