  • 6.4.21 UB Residence Hall Association 30th Anniversary

    This event is a virtual celebration of the 30-year history of the UB Residence Hall Association. RHA Executive Board members Matthew Taboni '21 (Past President) and Hailey Syperski '22 (Incoming President) shared their work in compiling the history of the organization, challenges and opportunities faced in the present day, and discussed what the future holds for RHA and its members. Alumni were also invited to share their memories and experiences of being a part of RHA.

As the second-largest student-run organization on campus, we promote school spirit, inclusivity, wellness, and advocate for resident’s rights.

In this virtual interactive session, guests had the opportunity to sample green tea, oolong tea and black tea from DC's renowned Valley Brook Tea.     UB Alumni and friends got into the Halloween spirit with a guided tutorial by a professional pumpkin carver using UB themed templates! During this recording you'll enjoy a dual-cam live carving display and tutorial on best practices and tools. Featured templates will include the Bullhead Spiritmark and the Interlocking UB. Enjoy the fun tutorial, as well as an entertaining display of talent as a carved portrait of UB’s Baird Point comes to life on a pumpkin!

    As part of UB's Homecoming at Home series, learn about the exciting new world of esports and competitive gaming. Michael Yates, the Assistant Director for the University Apartments, has been working with the student-developed UB Esports club to meet the growing demand for an organized and supported program. This has provided the opportunity for University at Buffalo to start its quest to implement an Esports Program to provide casual and competitive gaming experiences, with a primary focus of building physical spaces for students to explore common interests while educating on inclusivity and wellness for all participants. This presentation covers UB’s eSports program's current state and their participation in the Esports Collegiate conference.
