Recover My Duo Two-Step Verification

If you started enrolling a device but could not complete the enrollment process, or if your device is lost, broken or stolen, follow the steps below to recover your account.

I am stuck during Duo enrollment with Duo Mobile

Note: It is recommended to complete these steps from a computer, not the device you are trying to enroll.

  1. Contact the UBIT Help Center for a passcode
  2. Once you have a passcode, go to the Duo Two-Step Verification Manager
  3. Click Recover My Duo Two Step Verification
  4. Login with your UBITName and password
  5. Select Enter a Passcode and enter the passcode provided by the UBIT Help Center
  6. Choose Device Options located next to the device you began to enroll
  7. Choose Activate Duo Mobile or Reactivate Duo Mobile
  8. Confirm device type and click Continue
  9. Install Duo Mobile and/or confirm I have Duo Mobile Installed
  10. Follow the on-screen instructions for adding the Duo account
  11. Click Continue

My enrolled device was broken, lost or stolen

  1. Log into the Duo Two-Step Verification Manager with your UBITName and password
  2. Choose to authenticate with one of the Duo-enrolled devices you still have access to (or with a passcode). If you do not have additional devices or a passcode, please contact the UBIT Help Center
  3. Next to your broken, lost or stolen device name, click Device Options
  4. Click the red trash can icon
  5. Click Remove
  6. Add another device so you have at least two devices enrolled.
