Downloading AnyConnect Off-Campus VPN Client for Macintosh

AnyConnect allows you to securely connect to UB resources such as iprint anywhere as if you were on campus.

The vendor has changed the name of the product from Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client to Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

  • Download AnyConnect from UB.

Eligibility

AnyConnect can be downloaded by faculty, staff and students who have paid the Comprehensive fee.

Downloading

Important:

The latest version of AnyConnect works with Mac OS X 10.4 and higher. If you are running Mac OS X through 10.3, install Cisco AnyConnect for OS X 10.3 and under instead.

VPN may be subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and other U.S. law, and may not be exported or re-exported to certain countries or to persons or entities prohibited from receiving U.S. exports. Installing AnyConnect for 10.4 and Higher on your Mac

  1. Download AnyConnect.
  2. Double click on the AnyConnect software icon.
  3. Double click on the vpn drive on the Desktop.
  4. Double click on the Packages folder.
  5. Double click on the vpn.pkg file. If you are using Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), you must also:
    1. Ctrl-click the application in question and choose Open.
    2. Click Open at the next dialog warning to launch the app.
  6. Click Continue to all the package to determine if the software can be installed.
  7. Do NOT install dart.pkg, posture.pkg or websecurity.pkg files.
  8. Click Continue on the Welcome screen.
  9. Click Continue on the Software License Agreement.
  10. Click Agree to accept the software license agreement.
  11. Click Install on the Standard Install screen.
  12. Enter your password to authorize the installation.
  13. Click Close to complete the installation.
