Inter-departmental Mail

Campus mail, using inter-departmental envelopes, must be properly addressed to ensure delivery. Add a university return address if using any other envelope or mailer.

Metered Mail

Campus Mail Services can process outgoing letters, flats and parcels using a postage meter.

Service Description Cost
Certified Mail Provides proof of mailing at time of mailing and the date and time of delivery or attempted delivery $3.45 plus postage
Return Receipt Provides evidence of delivery, including the recipient's signature and actual delivery address. This must be used with another service (e.g.) certified, insured or registered mail.  $2.75 plus postage
Registered Mail Provides the highest level of security afforded by the USPS, including a special chain of custody and indemnity up to $50,000.  From $12.60, depending on item's value
Insured Mail Provides coverage against loss, damaged or missing contents up to $5,000. From $2.10, depending on item's value
USPS Tracking Provides tracking updates as item travels to its destination. It can be used with priority mail, first class parcels, library mail and media mail. No cost

Campus Mail Services’ bulk mail operation is efficient and cost-effective for large mailings, such as invitations, newsletters or announcements.
