Theatre and Dance Celebrates Largest First-Year Class

The Department of Theatre and Dance welcomed its largest overall freshman class this fall, according to available records. Sixty-eight first-year students have joined degree programs in Theatre, Dance, and Music Theatre this year, with first-year students making up over 40% of the total Theatre and Dance undergraduate student population.

The department is also celebrating its largest group of BFA Music Theatre majors ever, with 52 new and returning students enrolled in the Music Theatre program.

The Department of Theatre and Dance has a total of 186 students enrolled across its undergraduate major and graduate degree programs in 2025-2026. Forty-five additional students have declared theatre and dance minors.
