During the 75-minute presentation, Dr. Kevin Hulme, program manager for Stephen Still ISTL, offered the 15 research interns in attendance an introduction to the lab and how TRAVL is addressing the grand challenges associated with transportation by using advanced mixed-reality and simulation methodologies.

The presentation discussed background knowledge on simulation technology, major lab equipment and upgrades, and industries where similar technology are being used with great effect and impact, including aviation, maritime and entertainment sectors. The presentation culminated with an engaging Q&A session with the CSTEP research interns and a tour of the facility.
