Activities

You should be able to detail your clinical and non-clinical activities, provide a short description of your role, and be able to briefly discuss the importance of each activity. Keeping a journal throughout your experiences can help when it's time to apply.

Types of Activities

  • Clinical activities (those where you interact with patients) can include volunteering, shadowing and paid clinical employment.
  • Non-clinical employment.
  • Research.
  • TA. 
  • Community service.
  • Extracurriculars and athletics.
  • Leadership.
  • Honors and awards.
  • Hobbies that are important to you.
