Thanks to information shared by community members, this subject has been arrested. The subject activated a fire alarm pull station in Red Jacket Quad on 9/17/2023 and again on 11/08/2023 when there was no fire or other emergency. He was arrested for 2 counts of Falsely Reporting a Fire, in violation of New York State Penal Law section 240.55-01. Activating a false fire alarm like this is a Class E Felony in New York State.

Intentional false fire alarms create a danger to the first responders who must respond to all alarms as if they were potentially real fires. False alarms are also dangerous (and extremely inconvenient) for community members.
