Do you have unused pills or other pharmaceuticals that should be kept from others and could harm the environment if poured into the sewer? Take them to our safe collection site in the lobby of Bissell Hall.

About Correct Disposal

Drugs or Medications

Any unwanted medications, expired prescription drugs or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals can be deposited here. If in doubt, bring them in.

Sharps

Medical sharps, such as needles, syringes and lancets, should be discarded in an approved sharps disposal container to protect people and animals and to prevent spread of disease. Our sharps collection station meets all safety standards.

University Police is designated by the New York State and Erie County Departments of Health as a permanent pharmaceutical waste collection depot.

How Do I Use This Service?

Medication containers can be deposited as they are by students, faculty, staff and the public.

Come to the collection station any day of the week at any time.
