How to Request the Late Night Safety Shuttle

In order to utilize the Late Night Safety Shuttle on South Campus, you will need to download the UB Mobile app or Passio GO!.

The Safety Shuttle operates 8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. daily only during the fall and spring semesters.

Steps to Request a Ride Using UB Mobile:

1. Download the UB Mobile app on your device.

2. Click the "Parking and Transport" page.

3. Click the "Safety Shuttle" page.

4. Use Microsoft to sign in with your UB email and password.

5. Click "Allow" to let Passio GO! have access to your location.

6. Enter your pick up and drop off address.

7. Click "Request Trip."

8. You have now successfully requested your ride!

Utilize the Passio GO! App:

  1. Download the Passio GO! app on your device: https://passiotech.com/mobile-app/
  2. Open the Passio GO! app on your device.
  3. Open the Passio GO! menu.
  4. Open the "My Agency" tab and click "UB Shuttle" and "UB Stampede," then press "View."
  5. Click “UB Safety Shuttle” at bottom of the page under “Support."
  6. Once you are on the “Passio Connect Rider” page, scroll to the bottom to sign up or log in (click "Remember me" for future uses).
  7. After logging in, select your location on South Campus (i.e. Harriman Hall, Diefendorf Loop, Goodyear Hall, Main Circle).
  8. Once you select your pick up and drop off locations, scroll down and click "Request Trip."
  9. You have now successfully requested your ride!
Can't Connect to App? Call for Pickup!

If you have issues connecting to the Passio GO! app, call for a pickup. Contact a supervisor at (716) 346-4988. Provide your name, contact information, pickup location on South Campus and drop-off location within 1.5 miles of South Campus. 

Use of the Safety Shuttle

University members wishing to use the UB Safety Shuttle should make note of the following:

  • Transportation is provided from the South Campus to within a 1.5 mile radius from Main Circle
  • The Safety Shuttle operates 8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. daily only during the fall and spring semesters
  • UB ID is required to ride
  • Anyone exhibiting intoxicated behavior may be denied boarding at the discretion of the Safety Shuttle driver
  • Alcohol-related behaviors that impede the operation of the Safety Shuttle will subject the rider to removal by University Police, a disciplinary hearing and a $100 fine
  • Open food and beverage containers are not allowed on the Safety Shuttle
  • Smoking or vaping are not allowed on the Safety Shuttle
