David J. Hill

David J. Hill joined University Communications as a staff writer in 2011, working on several newsletters and copyediting projects.

He moved over to Media Relations in 2015 and later became a Director of Media Relations, a role that included providing coverage of news and research from the School of Architecture and Planning and the School of Public Health and Health Professions, along with university sustainability initiatives.

Hill was named UBNow editor in spring 2026.

Prior to UB, Hill worked as a newspaper reporter, covering everything from school board meetings to high school sports and quirky community crime stories.
