Bert Gambini covers the arts and humanities, social sciences and the School of Social Work. He joined University Communications in 2012 after more than two decades working in Buffalo radio, including eighteen years as a program host on NPR member station WBFO.

Bert is an avid cook and served as host of Nickel City Chef, Western New York’s local culinary competition, for all ten of the show’s seasons. 

He is also a contributing writer and member of the Professional Football Researchers Association and one of the co-authors of The 1958 Baltimore Colts: Profiles of the NFL’s First Sudden Death Champions (McFarland Publishing) and a forthcoming book chronicling the championship season of the 1951 Los Angeles Rams.
