Spread the gift of education in Haiti and advance social justice.
Students are invited to help develop a fund raising campaign on behalf of the College of Social Work and Social Justice (FTSJS) in Haiti. This is a unique program that is urgently needed because social work education is limited in the country. The program builds local capacity and educates future leaders to address important human development problems in their country.
FTSJS was founded in 2018 and is affiliated with Episcopal University, a renowned Haitian University. It offers an accredited program that is more affordable than many higher education institutions.
However, the last year of political instability in Haiti left many people struggling financially and more promising students are finding it impossible to pay tuition. This project will raise money to assist such students with scholarships and improve the technology infrastructure to make education more accessible.
