Improving targeted therapies for cancer treatment.

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

A research opportunity at a lab that works to harness the knowledge of intracellular signaling and biochemical pathways to develop and improve the anti-cancer arsenal of precision medicine.

Project is Not Currently Available

This project has reached full capacity for the current term. Please check back next semester for updates.

Project description

An opportunity exists for a self-motivated student with strong interests in biomedical research to contribute to the development of new treatment approaches for oncological diseases. A good academic background in biology, chemistry and math would be beneficial. The study is expected to build upon our growing understanding of intracellular signaling and biochemical pathways in normal and cancer cells. The project will utilize a variety of tools of molecular, cell and computational biology. In the long term, this work is expected to yield actionable insights into improving treatment options for several cancer types based on the genetic makeup of individual tumors.
