Apply to be a CSTEP Connect Mentor

We are seeking alumni like you to participate in CSTEP Connect during the UB Winter Session in January, on any day of your choosing. The connection will be a one-on-one, one-time, virtual 30-60 minute meeting, allowing you to give back on your own terms.

You can serve by making yourself available for a one-time, half hour connection with a current CSTEP student to provide advice about career and graduate/professional school. This is a unique opportunity for a UB student to learn from your educational and career trajectory about the steps they can take to reach their ultimate goal.

Our expectation is that the connections are a one-time commitment, but some alumni choose to continue to serve as a mentor/volunteer.

Application Instructions and Process

  1. Register and we will match you with a CSTEP student.
  2. You will receive an email with the student's contact information in early December and a reminder in early January.
  3. The student will reach out to you by email to connect remotely.

The estimated time to complete this form is between 5 and 15 minutes.
