Each year the Office of Government and Community Relations leads a variety of programs that engage our students, faculty and staff with our surrounding neighborhoods and community members.

Our Programs

  • Adopt a Family
    UB departments make the holidays brighter by providing gift wish items for dozens of families every year.
  • Campaign for the Community
    UB’s nationally recognized SEFA campaign gives employees the opportunity to donate to organizations in Western New York and beyond.
  • Community Day
    Every spring and fall UB students roll up their sleeves and join with community members to work on neighborhood improvement projects.
  • Operation Doorhanger
    Each year before the start of the academic year, UB distributes kits containing tips on how to be a good neighbor as well as other important information to students and neighborhood residents.
  • School Supply Drive
    Our university employees donate thousands of supplies at the start of every academic year to support the brightest young minds throughout the city.
    UB's home ownership program encourages employees to put down roots in the neighborhoods surrounding the South Campus.
  • UB Neighbor
    Our newsletter provides information on the latest UB initiatives and collaborations in the community
  • UB on the Green
    UB on the Green is a free family friendly concert series featuring fun and interactive activities that highlight the exciting things happening at UB.
  • University Savings Card
    Show your UB ID card when you shop at participating businesses, and you’ll get special discounts and other incentives.
