Kenneth Ettinger, BA 1974, was selected as a Top Doc for 2016 by Portland Monthly, the fifth time he has received that honor. He lives in Portland, Ore.

Christopher Greene, MBA 1975 & JD 1974, a partner at Barclay Damon LLP, was named chair of the Erie County Bar Foundation’s 2015 annual campaign. He resides in Buffalo, N.Y.

Lawrence Katz, BA 1975, joined Hirschler Fleischer as a partner. Katz will lead the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice. He lives in Springfield, Va.

Marc Shapiro, BS 1978, joined e-commerce company iHerb as vice president of human resources. He resides in Temecula, Calif.

Arthur Finegold, MS 1981 & BA 1972, was honored as the Salvador Dali Museum’s 2015 Volunteer of the Year at its annual volunteer appreciation event. Finegold has been a docent at the museum since 2011 and regularly provides public, private, specialty and school tours. He lives in St. Petersburg, Fla.  

Jonathan Cox, BA 1984, an associate at Cohen & Lombardo Attorneys, was named a super lawyer in personal injury defense for Upstate New York by Super Lawyers magazine. He resides in Buffalo, N.Y.

David Evans, MBA 1984, accepted a position with MB Financial Bank as a senior loan officer. He lives in Hamburg, N.Y.

Shane Farolino, BA 1985, a partner at Roetzel & Andress, was named a 2016 Ohio Super Lawyer in the field of environmental law by Super Lawyers magazine. He resides in Canton, Ohio.

Daniel Southwick, BS 1986, joined Dewberry, a professional services firm, as senior vice president. He lives in Apex, N.C.

Mary Chapin, BA 1989, was named vice president and chief legal officer of the National Student Clearinghouse, a provider of higher education verifications and electronic education record exchanges. She resides in Herndon, Va.

Ricardo Herrera, MSW 1992, is executive director of the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers Inc. He lives in Buffalo, N.Y.

Michael Fallacaro, DNS 1993 & MS 1984, was chosen as a 2015 fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Fallacaro is a tenured professor and chair of the department of nurse anesthesia at the School of Allied Health Professions at Virginia Commonwealth University. He resides in Richmond, Va.

Michelle (Betha) Webb, BS 1996, was appointed director of the occupational therapy assistant program at South University in High Point, N.C. She lives in Cornelius, N.C.

Michael Waskiewicz, BA 1998, joined Burr & Forman as a partner and member of the firm’s creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practices. He resides in St. Johns, Fla.

Laura Cooley, BS 2004, joined Brock Schechter & Polakoff LLP as a financial adviser. Cooley previously managed her own practices in Vermont and New York. She resides in West Seneca, N.Y.

Richard Filipink, PhD 2004, MA 1996 & BA 1992, was promoted to professor of history at Western Illinois University. He lives in Macomb, Ill.

James Youngs, BA 2004, was promoted to partner at Hancock Estabrook LLP. Youngs is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. He resides in Syracuse, N.Y.

Rachel Lerner, EdM 2005 & BA 2003, was named dean of student life and conduct at Bergen Community College. She lives in Pearl River, N.Y.

Michelle Rainka, PharmD 2005, received the Stephen Kelly Award for Professionals on the Move from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Upstate New York Chapter at its annual Champions on the Move luncheon. Rainka is a clinical pharmacist at DENT Neurological Institute. She lives in Williamsville, N.Y.
