What does it mean for an organization, be it a non-profit or a for-profit, to build innovation capacity? Can this be done systematically? The book “8 Steps to Innovation” proposes a framework that can help innovation leaders in this journey. It is built around three key themes: to enhance innovation output, you need to build an idea pipeline; improve idea velocity; and increase business impact (batting average). The framework does not assume anything about the size, sector, culture, or strategy of the organization, or the leadership style and background of the management. No matter what level of maturity your organization is, you will find the framework useful.
