You're part of UB's True Blue family and we know we can achieve greatness when we come together. Beginning on April 17, join us for UB Giving Day-a 24-hour, community driven fundraising challenge that gives us the chance to deliver big opportunities to our students. Contests and challenges spark friendly competition, the hastag #UBGivingDay builds awareness and excitement, but it's YOU, your dedication, and generosity that marks years of UB Giving Day fueling innovation, transforming lives, and illuminating all that's possible at UB and beyond.

How You Can Help
Show your UB pride!
The annual UB Giving Day is an opportunity for the entire UB community–alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends–to come together to raise critical funds that benefit our incredible students here at the University at Buffalo. Your gift on UB Giving Day is maximized with the power of challenges for an even greater impact.
Role of Ambassadors
Sign up to be an ambassador for your favorite schools, college, programs, and groups to use your voice to get them more support! As a UB champion, you can help build excitement for your favorite causes by promoting them to your personal nextworks and social media platforms.
You'll get an individualized link that allows you to track your resulrs throughout UB Giving Day and see how much you've helped your favorite programs increase their donations!
Ways to be an ambassador before and during UB Giving Day
- Make a gift. If you have already made a gift this year, thank you! By making an additional gift on UB Giving Day, regardless of the size, your support of an area that is meaningful to you will be increased with the power of challenges.
- Encourage your network to join you in making a gift on UB Giving Day. Share with your colleagues, friends, and classmates why you choose to give back to UB, and encourage them to join you in supporting an area of the university they are passionate about.
- Talk about UB Giving Day on your social media channels (Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram) by sharing UB posts or creating your own. Be sure to use #UBGivingDay and #UBuffalo to amplify the message! Sample posts and images are below.
- Follow UB Alumni on social media!
- Participate in a social media challenge. Take a look at the UB Alumni page on Facebook for fun challenges on April 17 and 18, and for the chance to win UB swag.

schools and units: spread the word about the Giving day scavenger hunt
We have teamed up with Student Life to hide fifteen small Buffalo throughout North and South Campus. Students who find a Buffalo will be entered to win a prize pack, and get to designate a small donation to a school/program that will receive a donation on their behalf for UB Giving Day. Follow along on their Instagram @ubstudentexp, and consider sharing a post to get your student followers to join in!
