Be Bold and show your UB pride!

The eighth annual UB Giving Day is an opportunity for the entire UB community–alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends–to come together to raise critical funds that benefit our incredible students here at the University at Buffalo. Your gift on UB Giving Day is maximized with the power of matches and challenges for an even greater impact.

Role of Ambassadors

UB Giving Day ambassadors communicate the importance of financially supporting the University at Buffalo to the campus and alumni community, and in particular within their respective networks. Ambassadors are an essential part of raising awareness of­—and creating excitement for—UB Giving Day.

Ways to be an ambassador before and during UB Giving Day

  • Make a gift. If you have already made a gift this year, thank you! By making an additional gift on UB Giving Day, regardless of the size, your support of an area that is meaningful to you will be increased with the power of matches and challenges.
  • Encourage your network to join you in making a gift on UB Giving Day. Share with your colleagues, friends, and classmates why you choose to give back to UB, and encourage them to join you in supporting an area university they are passionate about.
  • Talk about UB Giving Day on your social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram) by sharing UB posts or creating your own. Be sure to use #UBGivingDay and #UBuffalo to amplify the message! Sample posts and images are below.
  • Follow UB Alumni on social media! 
  • Participate in a social media challenge. Take a look at the UB Alumni page on Facebook for fun challenges on April 26 and 27, and the chance to win UB swag.
  • Record a brief video (15–30 seconds) to be used in UB Giving Day promotions and thank you messages. For sample video prompts and to record your video, visit here.
  • Show your UB spirit with UB Giving Day branded Zoom backgrounds.
