Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina (RSPP) is a tertiary general hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. RSPP is a member of Mayo Clinic Care Network, head quartered in Rochester, Minnesota. Since 1990 RSPP has been designated as an elite presidential institution oversees  more than 70 state owned healthcare enterprises known as Indonesian Healthcare Corporation. 

Dr. Hafil Budianto Abdulgani is an Indonesian physician and surgeon, a medical educator and healthcare development consultant. He was honoured to contribute to medical education and hospital establishment in several countries. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Biology from University at Buffalo, New York in 1971. He obtained Doctorate degree in Medicine from University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in 1976. He then completed integrated General Surgery residency training from 1976 to 1981 at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson Medical Center and Children Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania Medical School. From 1981 to 1984 he completed an Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery residency training at Boston University Medical Center and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery residency training at Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is a Fellow American College of Surgeons and a Fellow American College of Cardiology. He was recruited by the Government of Indonesia to serve as Senior Consultant at the National Cardiovascular Center Rumah Sakit Harapan Kita in Jakarta from 1985 to 1995. He was summoned to train healthcare personnels and pioneered many modern open heart surgeries and new concepts of cardiovascular postoperative care. In 1995, he was appointed as Associate Professor in Surgery at University of Padjadjaran Faculty of Medice and Chief Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Hasan Sadikin General Hospital. He established a modern cardiovascular surgical facilities, and pioneered many surgical innovations in Bandung from 1995 to 2007.  He was subsequently hired by Faculty of Medicine Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Selangor, Malaysia. He was awarded Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery to introduce hybrid curriculum medical education and the new PBL program. He served as Chief Development Unit of UiTM Hospital in Sungai Buloh for undergraduate and graduate student clinical education and basic science research. During that time he was one of key elements in helping the Faculty to be prepare for accreditation of the medical school with innovative hybrid curriculum., and established three (3) teaching hospitals in Selayang, Sungai Buloh, Damansara. The medical faculty currently recognized as one of the most progressive in the nation.

Dr. Hafil B. Abdulgani has been invited as a speakers to several conferences worldwide. He has over 70 papers in international journals most of them are on Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. He published chapter in book on Cardiovascular Surgery. He is an Associate Editor of Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals. He is journal reviewer of Cardiology in the Young. He was founding member of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery; and served as councilor from Asia until 2019. He was hospital director of two privately own Malaysian Healthcare Corporation in Tangerang and Jakarta. He was also appointed commissioner of State owned Pertamedika ~ Indonesian Healthcare Corporation from 2019 to 2020.

Currently he is in private practice as part-time Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgeon in Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina.
